Pumpkin pie playdough activity with free printable

This is such a simple activity: you only need to print the printables, make some playdough, and your kids can play.

They'll even learn some math by cutting the pie into sections.

This activity is inspired by ideas from Pumpkin pie playdough activity with free printable.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Hand eye coordination activities help kids use their hands (and muscles) and eyes at the same time. When the two work together, young children begin to increase their ability to pick up, grasp, and manipulate objects.

Fine motor skills involve movement of the smaller muscle groups in your child's hands, fingers, and wrists.

Developing fine motor skills will help your child to write and prepares her for school. But it will also help your children with everyday tasks like eating, and dressing themselves.

Creative activities help children express themselves and create something from nothing, explore materials and activities and use their imagination.

Colour recognition activities helps children get to know the different colors and color blending and matching.

Sensory play is play that involves all the senses - taste, sound, sight, touch and smell. Sensory play is very beneficial to children. Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways, which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory play is also very relaxing and rejuvenating to children.

Playdough is always a hit at my home, especially if my kids can make it with me. I also always use my favorite trustworthy recipe and it always turns out great.

My kids enjoyed the pumpkin pie playdough play and both kids played happily with it in their own way. My son wrapped the playdough in the paper as a gift and he also made a playdough monster.

Experienced mini bakers will also love pinching up the edges of the dough to create their pie crusts. It’s excellent fine motor pracice, too!
