Weekly Kids Activities Newsletter:

Thanksgiving activities for kids

Hi. It’s Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com.

Happy Thanksgiving!

My first Thanksgiving here in New Zealand was thanks to some of our American friends.

They invited us for an American Thanksgiving in NZ and it was lovely. I tried American sweet potato casserole (with tonnes of marshmallows in) and felt very grateful for my new friends and family.

Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not, it's nice to get in the spirit with fun and educational activities for your kids. This week's newsletter includes 5 Thanksgiving activities for kids of all ages.

This activity is really simple and great for kids who like to paint (like my daughter).

It's fun to paint with a different medium, and see different textures on the paper.

Rice is one of our favorite sensory bin materials. It’s cheap, and you can dye it any color that you like.

In this Thanksgiving bin, the rice is dyed orange, brown and yellow. You can add any extras to the bin such as toy tractors or pumpkins.

In this activity you get to make a simple and fun toy for your kids. They get to scoop and transfer pom poms into the turkey's mouth.

This is such a simple activity: you only need to print the printables, make some playdough, and your kids can play.

They'll even learn some math by cutting the pie into sections. You don't need to print the printables, just tell your kids to cut the pie they've made from playdough.
