Creative activities help children express themselves and create something from nothing, explore materials and activities and use their imagination.
Sensory play is play that involves all the senses - taste, sound, sight, touch and smell. Sensory play is very beneficial to children. Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways, which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory play is also very relaxing and rejuvenating to children.
1 bag marshmallows
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Place the marshmallows in a safe bowl. Microwave the marshmallows for 30 seconds. Stir and repeat.
Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 cup oil.
Let it cool for about 15 minutes
Add a bit of oil to your hands and knead the slime by hand.
If the slime is too sticky, add a bit more oil as needed
I had a jumbo bag of marshmallows so I had to guess how much of the rest of the ingredients to add. I added about double the amount of powdered sugar and 1/2 cup of coconut oil.
I love the texture and taste of this slime. It came out beautifully.
