Indoor Activity For Kids:

DIY felt pizza

I can see my kids ask for this felt pizza quiet activity again and again. It seems easy to make and makes for fun open ended play.

This activity is inspired by ideas from DIY felt pizza.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Fine motor skills involve movement of the smaller muscle groups in your child's hands, fingers, and wrists.

Developing fine motor skills will help your child to write and prepares her for school. But it will also help your children with everyday tasks like eating, and dressing themselves.

Creative activities help children express themselves and create something from nothing, explore materials and activities and use their imagination.

Colour recognition activities helps children get to know the different colors and color blending and matching.

Step 1

Cut the felt into two different sized circles, one red, one beige (using two circular plates as a guide) and toppings (mushrooms, cheese, peppers etc).

Step 2

Gather all the supplies

Step 3

Add the felt pieces to a container

Step 4

Show your kids how to play

I probably had as much fun making this activity as my kids had playing with it. I made two pizzas from felt, one with traditional colors and one with bright, fun colors (pink, blue and black).

Both my kids loved this activity and Sarah even pretend eat the felt pieces while Fred wanted an extra dough part to make a pizza pie. Felt is so fun to play with!

This Felt Pizza Activity is a fun dramatic play activity for your little ones. It is a great activity for toddlers and young children, and best of all, it isn’t a noisy! A perfect quiet time activity and a fun way to introduce them to cooking and baking
