Sensory Activity For Kids:

Muddy pigs sensory play

This activity for kids is messy play without the mess.

Everything is contained in a bag which minimizes the mess and gives a nice sensory effect.

This activity is inspired by ideas from Muddy pigs sensory play.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Fine motor skills involve movement of the smaller muscle groups in your child's hands, fingers, and wrists.

Developing fine motor skills will help your child to write and prepares her for school. But it will also help your children with everyday tasks like eating, and dressing themselves.

Sensory play is play that involves all the senses - taste, sound, sight, touch and smell. Sensory play is very beneficial to children. Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways, which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory play is also very relaxing and rejuvenating to children.

Step 1

Print pig printable .

You can find the pig printable under Sources.

Step 2

Gather all the supplies

Step 3

Add pig printout, paint and shaving cream to the bag and seal shut

Step 4

Give your kids the bags and let them squash away

"And everything is contained in the bag during the process. How cool is that?" I also like that this activity is mess free but still feel like messy play and you get a neat piggy picture at the end.
