Activity For Kids:

Easter egg and water sensory bin

This is another great and simple activity to use your plastic easter eggs.

It allows free play and kids can make up their own games with the Easter eggs and water.

This activity is inspired by ideas from Easter egg and water sensory bin.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Colour recognition activities helps children get to know the different colors and color blending and matching.

Sensory play is play that involves all the senses - taste, sound, sight, touch and smell. Sensory play is very beneficial to children. Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways, which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory play is also very relaxing and rejuvenating to children.

Step 1

Take two sensory bins and get your kids to help you

Step 2

Half fill one bin with water.

You can color it with food coloring if you like

Step 3

Let your kids add the plastic Easter eggs to the water

Step 4

Give them ladles and let them play with the plastic Easter eggs

I normally like to have my sensory bins set up before letting the kids play with them, but for this one I recommend letting your toddler add the eggs to the water. They’ll have fun throwing them in and watching them splash!
